Mrs. Cordia Helton Myers, 74, 854 Davis Street, Gainesville mother of school superintendent-elect Dean Myers, died Wednesday (Oct. 9) at Hall County Hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at New Bridge Baptist Church in White County at a time and date to be announced later by Little and Davenport Funeral Home of Gainesville. She is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Fred Edwards, Limestone, Tenn.; Mrs. Willard Satterfield, Gainesville, route 3; Mrs. Roy Sullivan, Cornelia; Mrs. Claude Godfrey, Buford; Mrs. James Yearwood Conyers; Mrs. Billy Joe Talley, Chicopee; Mrs. Roy Collins, Gainesville; three sons, Arvil Seabolt, Cleveland route 1; Dean Myers, Gainesville, route 3, Sgt. First Class Robert L. Myers, U.S. Army, Germany; her step-mother, Mrs. Jake Henton, Cleveland; one brother, Alec Helton, Cleveland, route 1, three step-daughters, Mrs. Tom Smith, Anderson, S.C.; Mrs. Andrew Smith Gainesville; Mrs. Hoyt Myers, Atlanta; three half-sisters, Mrs. Cecil Jones, Blairsville; Mrs. Vady Helton, Blairsville; Mrs. Lillie Helton, Blairsville; four half-brothers, Newman Helton, Blairsville; Hershell Helton, Blairsville, Harley Helton, Gainesville; Roy Helton, Cleveland, route 1, and 41 grandchildren.
