LULA SCHOOLS PAST AND PRESENT

Lula' earliest education for it's children was two one-room schools consolidated in 1911. Lee Institute a two story brick building and a dormatory building attracted pupils from surrounding areas. In 1938, Lula High School was built with grades 1-11. This school served the Lula Community until it was destroyed by fire in 1962. In 1958 East Hall High School was completed and the High School students were bussed there, leaving only a grammer school in Lula. In 1988 a new East Hall Middle School was completed. Moving the 6th and 7th grades to the middle school.
