John Allen McDonald was born in Hall Co in 1843, according to his CW pension record. I lost him after that until the civil war. He also stated in his pension record that he moved to Tennessee in 1859, possibly Bradley or McMinn Co. He enlisted with the 43rd Tn Inf. CSA. He died in Bradley Co, TN 12-24-1919. He married Catherine Noe in Hamblen Co, TN. Their children were all born in Bradley and Polk Co,TN. I found a John McDaniel listed on the 1850 Hall Co census with a Joseph Thompson family at age 6. I am not sure if that is him, but it's a possibility.

I am trying to help another researcher find this cemetery. There are two Fraser cemeteries in Hall County This one is NOT the one off Spouts Spring road.

The Fraser Cemetary is located off of Mauldin Mill Road between Chestnut Mountain and Flowery Branch. Take Highway 13 from Gainesville past Blackshear Place. Go to Union Church Road just this side of Chestnut Mountain and follow this road to Mauldin Mill Road where one turns right. Then drive one-half to 3/5 miles until there is a logging road on the left and there is a walk of about 1/4th. The cemetary is located on the right side of the logging road about 10 feet off in a heavily wooded area and has brushes and trees growing there. There should be a large monument (headstone) and on either side of the Fraser name is "Grandfather" and "Grandmother".
