Mr. Ernest William Armour

Mr. Ernest William Armour, 64, of Route 1 Alto, died Saturday, July 28, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 30, at 2 p.m. at the McGahee-Griffin Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Quinnion Duncan will officiate. The burial will be in the Enon Cemetery. Mr. Armour is survived by his wife Charity Armour; one step-daughter, Mrs. Virginia Dorsey of Alto; two step-sons, Donald Stevens of Gainesville and Edward Stevens of Buford; one half-brother, Archie Armour of Alto; two sisters, Mrs. Covetta Pittman of Lula and Mrs. Trixie Thomas of Alto; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. McGahee-Griffin Funeral Home is in Charge. The family will receive friends Sunday night at the funeral home from 7-9. (The Times, Gainesville, GA, Sunday, July 29, 1984, page 3-E)
