Mrs. Illa Belle Goolsby Myers, 72, 320 Tower Heights Road, Gainesville, died today (Nov. 17) following an extended illness. Ward's Funeral Home of Gainesville is in charge of arrangements. ( The Times, Gainesville, GA, Monday, November 17, 1969, page 2)

Mrs. Illa Belle Goolsby Myers, Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow (Nov. 19) at Harmony Hall Baptist Church for Mrs. Bell Goolsby Myers, 74, 320 Tower Heights Road, Gainesville. The Rev. James Ransom and Donald Tritt will officiate, and interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 tonight. Mrs. Myers died yesterday (Nov. 17) at her residence after an extended illness. She was a lifetime resident of Hall County and was a retired employee of Hall County Hospital. She was a member of Wilson's Baptist Church in Jackson County. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Estelle Coor, Decatur; three sons, Odis Myers and Joe Myers, both of Gainesville; Hamp Myers, Maysville; four sisters, Mrs. C. A. Kytle, New Holland; Mrs. Haskell Barrett and Mrs. Lonnie Hamilton, both of Gainesville; Mrs. Charlie Helton, Lithonia; two brothers, Clarence Goolsby, Cornelia; Ernest Goolsby, Raleigh, N.C.; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
