Lula Blacksmith
LEONIDUS LANDIS "Champ" FERGUSON
[Copy of Article from Florida. (no date or newspaper name)] Mr. L. C. Ferguson, known to his many friends as "Champ" of this place, is a remarkable man. He was reared in White county, went to Kansas and spent many years then returned to Georgia. He has been married three times, is now eighty years old and puts shoes on wild mules. Not many blacksmiths can even sharpen a plow at 80, and he no doubt is the only man in the state eighty years old who would attempt to shoe a wild mule. We ask him if he was related to the notorious "Champ" Ferguson who help make history during the civil war by stealing cattle, murder, etc., and was honored by hanging in Memphis, but he said that was a different breed of Fergusons
