Mrs. Birma Lee Oliver, 71, Lula route 1, died today at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Strickland Funeral Home. (The Daily Times, Gainesville, GA., Thursday, September 20, 1979, page 6A) Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church for Mrs. Birma Lee Oliver, 71, Lula, route 1. The Rev. Roy Irvin, the Rev. Claude Hood, The Rev. Sewell Nix and the Rev. Jess Savage will officiate, with interment at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Oliver, a lifelong resident of Hall County, died yesterday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. She was a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church for 45 years. Survivors include her husband, Shelt Oliver, Lula route 1; six sons, Eugene Oliver, Tyris Oliver, Leon Oliver, Perry Oliver, Tony Oliver, all of Lula; Donald Oliver, Clermont; four daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Oliver, Miss Beba Joe Oliver, Mrs. Christine Clark, Miss Sharon Oliver, all of Lula; five brothers, Gordon Farmer, Arnold Farmer, both of Clermont; Grady Farmer, Cleveland; Edwin Farmer, Jacksonville, Fla.; Tom Farmer, Clovis, N. M.; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Sexton, Charlotte, N.C..; Miss Leona Ravan, Clermont; and 16 grandchildren. Strickland Funeral Home is in charge. James Dean Oliver, Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church in Clermont for James Dean Oliver, 66, of Gainesville route 6. The Rev. Sewell Nix, the Rev. Jesse Savage and Rev. Roy Irvin will officiate with interment in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Mr. Oliver died Wednesday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Loutine Clark Oliver of Gainesville; one son, Delbert Oliver of Cleveland; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Ledford and Mrs. Judy Albano both of Gainesville; three brothers, N. C. Oliver of Lula, Wiley Oliver of Cleveland, and E. B. Oliver of Clermont; one sister, Mrs. Lilly Mae Savage of Doraville; and one grandchild. Strickland's Funeral Home of Clermont is in Charge. N.C. Oliver Sr., age 89, of 8426 Skitts Mountain Road, Lula, died Sunday, January 20, 2002 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. A lifetime resident of Hall County, Mr. Oliver was a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church and was a retired farmer. Survivors include his daughters, Barbara Forrester, Flowery Branch; Shirley Irvin, Gainesville; Patricia Spence and Ethel Autry, both of Leslie, AK, and Janis Townley, Clermont; sons, Daniel Oliver and N.C. Oliver Jr., both of Lula; brothers, E.B. Oliver, Clermont, and Wiley Oliver, Lula; sister, Willie Mae Savage, Doraville; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, January 22, 2002, at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. The Reverend Kyle Savage, the Reverend Mike Irvin and the Reverend Mark Gunter will officiate. Sheldon R. Oliver, Funeral services were held yesterday at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church for Shelton R. Oliver, 69, Lula, route 1. The Rev. Jesse Savage, the Rev. Roy Irvin, the Rev. Sewell Nix and the Rev. Hudson Thomas officiated and interment was in Holly Springs Baptist Church cemetery. Mr. Oliver, a native of Hall County, died Saturday at Lanier Park Hospital following an extended illness. He was a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. He was a farmer and had operated Oliver's Store in Lula for many years. He is survived by four daughters, Miss Geraldine Oliver, Miss Reba Jo Oliver, Mrs. Christine Clark and Miss Sharon Oliver, all of Lula; six sons, Donald Oliver, Clermont, Eugene Oliver, Tyris Oliver, Leon Oliver, Perry Oliver, and Tony Oliver, all of Lula; four brothers, N. C. Oliver and Wiley Oliver, both of Lula, E. B. Oliver, Clermont, and James Oliver, Gainesville; one sister, Mrs. Willie Mae Savage, Doraville; 17 grandchildren. Oliver, all of Lula, route 1; James Oliver, Gainesville; two brothers, D. D. Oliver, Lula; R. A. Oliver, Gainesville; 34 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
