Myrtle Lee Horn Myers, 68, 3805 Coker Road, Gainesville, died Tuesday Oct. 6, 1987 at Emory University Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Oconee County, Mrs.. Myers lived most of her life in Hall County. She was employed with Mott's Foods in Talmo. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors are son and daughter-in-law. Carl and Judy Myers, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law Garvin Lee and Linda Myers, Gainesville, son Grady Myers, Gainesville, two grandsons, Richard Lee Myers and Chris Chitwood, both of Gainesville, one granddaughter, Lynn Chitwood, Gainesville, brother, Andrew Jackson Horn, Athens, two sisters, Adell Miller and Eula Mae Motes, both of Gainesville. Funeral at 11 a.m. Friday at Wards Chapel with the Rev. Sam Parsons officiating. Interment in Alta Vista Cemetery. The body is at Ward's Funeral Home where the family will receive Friends. Mrs. Ruby G. Arnold Myers, Lula, age 73, died Thursday, August 10, 2000, at Habersham County Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Myers was born February 12, 1927, in Banks County. She was a retired seamstress from Carwood Manufacturing and was a member of Lula Baptist Church. Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her husband, William Myers, a son, Jesse Arnold, and a brother, A.P. Krockum. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 12, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Rev. Perry Smith officiating. Burial was in the Skitts Mountain Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors include one sister, Nellie Burgess, Cornelia; brother-in-law, Edward Myers, Homer; and sisters-in-law, Ethelene Keller, Mt. Airy, Cozetta Myers, Lula, and Mary Lou Myers, Mt. Airy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church of one's choice. McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
