REV. SAMUEL JACKSON STEPHENS

Rev. Samuel Jackson Stephens, dob 6/6/1813, dod 4/30/1887, buried Hopewell Methodist Church cemetary, was a past minister of the church, was a Major in the 4th Regiment, Ga. Calvary State Guards (Blue Ridge Tiger Regiment); but, most importantly, Samuel Jackson Stephens was a Georgia State Senator from 1861 til 1863. He and other family members are buried at Hopewell Meth. Ch. near Murrayville.
