Bartie Smith Savage

Bartie Smith Savage, age 90, of Skitts Mountain Drive, Lula, died Monday at the Habersham Home following an extended illness. She was born in Hall County and was the daughter of the late Willie N. and Lottie Myers Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucas Savage; daughter Elwayne (Penny) Brock; and son, Terry Savage. Survivors include her sons, Clinton C. Savage, Cornelia; Tex T. Savage, Lula; daughters, Tola S. Core, Olympia, Wash.; Charlotte Adams, Cornelia; sister, Addie Garner, Braselton; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 7-9pm, Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at Barrett Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland. The Reverend Dean Bryant and the Reverend Clyde Garrison will officiate. Burial will be in the Savage Family cemetery adjacent to Skitts Mountain.

Icie Myers Sullivan

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 1985 at the Chapel of Whitfield Perkins Funeral Home, Cornelia, for Mrs. Icie Myers Sullivan, 61, Cornelia, route 1. The Rev. Sam Parsons will officiate. Interment will be in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The body is at Whitfield Perkins Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today;. Mrs. Sullivan died Sunday, August 11, 1985, following an extended illness. A native of Habersham County, she was the daughter of James Dean and Cordie Hilton Myers. She was an employee of Ethicon Inc. and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, Roy Sullivan of Cornelia, three sons, Jimmy Sullivan, Jerry D. Sullivan, Tony R. Sullivan, all of Cornelia, five sisters; Mrs. Claude (Inie) Godfrey of Springhill, Ind.; Mrs. Willard (Liney) Satterfield, Mrs. Lorraine Talley, both of Gainesville, Mrs. James (Mary Jean0 Farrow of Conyers; Mrs. Roy (Velma) Collins of Gainesville; two grandchildren Miss Sandy Sullivan of Athens, and Kirk Sullivan of Cornelia.
